(From a Correspondent.) Napier, This Dat. As none of the Unionists at the port would complete the loading of the Star of Victoria with Nelson Bros.' frozen meat, a lot of men from the Tomoana Freezing Works wero obtained. As they were out of their element and the sea very rough, they found the work of a most unpleasant character. Added to this was the obaff thoy were subjected to on arrival and at departure. The orew of the Star of Viotoria were supposed to etow away the moat, but a boat was sent out warning them not to work with non-Unionists, and they declined to touch the meat when it arrived, and they heartily groaned the free labourers. At a meeting of the Wharf Labourers' Union this aftornoon, 150 being present, the action of the Railway Commissioners in dismisnin? the fonr men at Chriatehurch was condemned in strong terms. Two men who had assisted free labourers were expelled. Nelson Bros, have issued orders that tbeir butchers' shop at tho Spit shall not supply wharf labourers with meat unless cash is forthcoming.
