To-day tho Customs authorities seized aevcral cases of drapery belonging to a large wholesale Home firm having 1 agencies in the colonies. It is understood the seizure is the outcome of investigations made by Mr. Shannon, the Customs expert. Gisboene, 3rd July. A Customs officer made a seizure of three barrels of Dunedin beer insufficiently stamped. Dtjnbdin, 3rd July. Adam Frank, a seaman on the Doric, was fined in the mitigated penalty of £1 Is 6d for taking ashore a box of cigars and a bottle of Florida water.
