Serious Fire at Belfast Freezing Works.

The fire spread, and aa far as is known great damage was done. The buildin? is insured for -£15,830, and the machinery for .£2700. Seven thousand carcases whioh were burned were insured for .£BOOO. The losses of the various intnranoe companies are estimated as follow:— Now Zealand, .£1250 ; London Liverpool and Globe, 41500 ; London and Lancashire, .£1250 ; North British, 41250; Standard, Phoenix, Son, North German and National, 4750 eaoh; Union, 41000; Imperial, 4850; Guardian, 41000; Victoria, 4300 ; Eoyal, 500; Eqnitable, 4500 ; Colonial, 4500 ; total, 413,550. We learn locally that the insurances amount to 431,100. and that the loss is estimated at about two-thirds.
