Sir, — Will you kindly insert these few lines in your widely oiroulatod paper for tho benefit of whoever it may oonoern. I have a ohild who has been affliotod with an obstinate skin diseaso of a most itohing naturo for more than seven yoars. Whtra six woeks old, or thereabouts, slnall reddish spots appeared in the faoe, about the siio of a pin's head. Of course, a modieal man was applied to, but it steadily inornasod until face and head woro one dark brown orust of Bores. Then it spread to the body, ohest, baok. joints, and all fleshy parts. Modieal skill appeared to bo of no use, but often mado him worso. In despair I look«d upon tho doctors as uselosß beings of tbo oommunity. On the 17th of Scptembor laßt tho ohild was shown to Dr. Spoer, now residing in Wellington. On looking at him for a minuto or two ho struck at tne root of the disoaso at once, as a man of great skill can do, Aftor tho first fivo days' treatment, small stripes of healthy akin becamo visible ; in loss than a month tho face was olean ; two months a wondorful improvement on tho body. After four months' treatmont there only remains a few marks on his legs and wrißts. The ohild is still under Dr. Speer's earo, as he deolares it will take some time yet to entirely remove it from his aystom. It must also not be forgotten to add that the medioines havo not had the least unpleasant offoot on the internal organs, whioh always was tho case iv previous treatments. So I can confidently advise anyone who should bo so nnfortunato as to require medical aid, to call on Dr. Speer for advioo. I am, &0., A. ANDERSON. Johnsonvillo, 23rd January, 1888, I will willingly give any furthor information to any person who will cither call or address me at Johnsonvillc.
