Tho rules of the Olnb are the rules of tho Wellington Racing Club as far as applicable, and all races to bo run nnder the rulo3 of racing, as adopted by the Metropolitan Club, and the rules and genoral conditions as follows : — 1. All events oloso not later than 9 p.m. on tho advertisod date of nominations, and no nominations or acceptances will bo received nnder any pretenco whatever unloss aocompaniod by' tho necessary amounts. 2. Tho Wellington Raciug Club rules will be strictly adhered to. 3. All races at thia mooting will bo confined to hacks only. Hack shall moan a horso that has novor started for weight for age or handicap raoes, hack handicaps^ excop ted, and that has nover started for weight for ago or handicap race np to date of starting, and aro not nominated for Derbys, St. Legers, Champagnes, or Guineas. 4. Weight for ago Bhall mean where the weight for ago scale has beon carried. 5. All horses to be ridden in distinguishing oolonrs. , , 6. No entry will be received for any raoe excopt under the condition that all claimrt, disputes, and objections arising out of tho raoes Bhall be docidod_ by the stewards, or whom thoy may appoint, and their decision shall bo final. 7. Horses walking over will receivo 50 per cent, of tho stakos. 8. Any protest mu«t bo lodtfod in writing within ton minutes aftor the race to which it refers, accompanied by 2 soys., which will be returned only if the protest is sustained. | 9.
