[united pekbb association. Gis borne, 7th February. Mr. Weaver, manager of the South Pacific Oil Company, has, by order of the Sydney directors, selected a site for a new oil well. Tenders have been let for cutting timber and the ereotion of a derrick for another well on the Waip&roa station, for a local company. Mr. Weaver proceeds to San Francisco by next mail boat, to secure a tankage refinery and pipe line from the well to Gisborne, a distance of 30 miles.
