THE WELLINGTON HOSPITAL. TO THE EDITOR.

Sib— Haying lately been an in-door patient of the Wellington Hospital, and being at the prosont time an out-door patient of the same valnablo institution, I think it would not bo ont of place to ask you to be good enough to kindly insert a few lines bearing upon the general treatment and condition of the present staff of officers and nurses. In every way I would not hare desired more to have been done for mo from any of the well-known London or provincial hospitals. Hero I found the doctor (Dr. Hassell) most assiduous and attentive at hiß post whon required, attending even to the whim or fancy peculiar with many cases, the honorary doctors ready to give their valuable services for the mitigation of pain and suffering; and I cannot laud in too strong terms, worthy of their high standard, the care and readiness of tho nur&es, over near, either night or day, to wait upon this or that patient, relioving the hot and aching head with cooling applications, 'sympathising where a moaning one tossed and turned in pain, or doing anything if possible, to give ease and comfort to the weary sleepless sufferer. If under the present good appointments any patient found ,cauße to complain, I fail to see upon what' just grounds ; and the party complaining would do so either from ignorance, or being unaccustomed to home comfort. In conclusion, to relieve and spare the home, and to objain the best medical aid or surgical skill, and .all the, flint-class attentions of well-appointed nurses, I can, from personal experience, lacommend the sufferer to the Wellington Hospital Under its present management, where throughout, punctuality, order, cleanliness, and everything

requisite to human aid in the possible re covery of its pationts, is over present. I am, <fee, Gbatitddk. 15th June.
