Tho cricket match, Australians vorsus Cambridge University, was continued today at Cambridge. Tho attendance was very large, the weather being splondid. An excellent wicket was pitched, and the ground was in firßt-ratc order, notwithstanding yesterday's rain. Great interest is being token in tho game. Tho Australians resumed their first innings %yith Trumblo (not out from yesterday) and Garrott. The latter 6opn retired with 7 (run out), when Evans joined Trumble, and the score ran up rapidly, both men being in splendid form. Trumble placed 47 to his credit before ho was bowled, Evans carrying out his bat for 24. The last wicket fell for a total of 222. Tho Cambridge Elevon then went in and put together 143 runs bofore being disposed of. The two highest scorers wore— Marchant, bowled, 51, and Bock, caught, 38. Tho Englishmen then took the field, and when stumps woro drawn the visitors had scored 51 runs without the loss of a wicket, Scott making 25, and Jones 26. The bowling of the Australian team was excellent. The following is the bowling analysis :— Cambridge, first innings— Giffen, 8 wickets for 90 ; Bruce, 2 for 40. Australians, fifst innings— Dorman, 4 wickets for 70 runs, 12th June. Tho match was resumed and concluded toc".a~. The attendance was only moderate, owing to the inclemency of the weather, heavy rain falling at intervals during tho day. The Australians, who on tho previous day had scored 51 without the loss of a wicket, resumed their innings, and held their placo at the wicket all day, with tho result that when stumps were drawn they hod placed to their credit the large total number of 326 runs for the loss of five wickets. Jarvis played a very fine innings, oarrying out his bat for 96, whilo Trumblo made 56, also not out. Rock was tho most successful bowler on the English side, taking two wickots for 70 runs. The match was declared a draw.
