The Hon. Mr. Ballanoe, Minister of Lands, , is expeoted to return to Wellington to-mor- i row. Colonel Bir George Whitmore is also i expeoted back the same d»y. The Telegraph authorities have received information that the Turkish route whioh was interrupted is now all right. Mr. E. S. W. Butler, through his solicitors Messrs. Bailor & Gully, advertises a reward of £50 for suoh information as will lead to the conviction of the person who inserted ths falae notice of hiß marriaore in the New Zealand Times newspaper on Monday, the 22nd inst. A notice appears elsewhere that the partnership hitherto existing between James Huxley and Harry O'Hara $.% tailors, at Petone, has been dissolved by mutual consent. James Huxley will in future carry on the business. A number of workmen were busily engaged this morning, under the direction of Mr. J. L. Kimbell, in decorating the Drillshed for the oonvereazione which ia to be held this eveniDg in hononr of Cardinal Moran, and the interior of tbe edifice has now been transformed into a large drawing-room. Flags, evergreens, and paintings have been the prinoipal agonts employed to effeot this transformation. When the place is properly illuminated and full of ladies and gentlemen there is little donbt it will look exceedingly well. Refreshments will be provided free of oharge. During the evening hia Eminenoe will oocnpy a seat on a specially constructed dais and hold a levee. It is expected that a large number will avail themselves of the opportunity to be presented to the Cardinal. We have been requested to state that the entrance for those who come in carriages will bo through Messrs. Zohrab, Newman and Co. 'a store. - Mrs. Dudley Ward is to deliver an address r to-morrow under tho anspicea of tho Women's Christian Temperance Union. A large audience is expeoted.
