A GOOD SUGGESTION. TO THE EDITOR.
Sib— ln your issne of Saturday last you published a resume of the proposed time-table on the Wellington and Manawatu Railway. Aa far as the Paremata section is oonoerned, I don't think it will suit the convenience of the country settlers beyond Johnsonville. For instance, the last train for Paremata leaves Wellington at 2.30 p.m. t« meet
Cobb & Co.'s coach from Foxton. This compels visitors to town who have any business to transact to stay a night in Wellington. If the coach left Foxton at 7.30 or 8 o'olook, instead of 6 in the morning, it would be more convenient to the travelling public, and would reach Paromata about 5 pm. A train leaving Wellington at 4.30 p.m. would meet the coach, and bring the passengers into town as early as they now arrive, and would also etable country visitors to return home the same day.
