Mr. Manders gave notico of a question relative to the cost of tbe Thorpdon Reclamation, and the terms on which it was proposed to sell it to the Wellington Corporation. la reply to Mr. Reeves, Mr. Stout stated that the Government did not this session intend to bring down a bill to restrict the immigra* tjon of Chinese; but when they considered it necessary they would apply to the Home Government for power to introduce such a hill. At present the New Zealand Parliament had not power to deal with, the subject.
