ARRIVAL OF THE PLEIADES FROM LONDON.

Messrs. Shaw, Saville and Co.'s ship "Pleiades, Captain Davies, cleared at the Customs on tho 27th September, and was towed out of the East India Docks the same day ; anchored at Gravesend for the night. On the 30th September, nt 7.15 a.m., wind from W.N.W., proceeded to work down Channel. On the 2nd October lauded Channel pilot oft* the Shambles. On the Bth October, in lat. 46*20 N., long. 109, wind veered to the N.W., and eontinueu very light with occasional calms nntil we were in 23deg. N. lat., when we fell iv with the north-east trades, which continued tery light, and were lost on the 30th of October. The Equator was crossed on the OtH ot November, in 25) deg. 22 mm West. The trade winds of Capricorn commenced about the Equator, on the 7th, aud continued very light, and veering gradually to the eastward until tho 12th, after which light variable ¦wind*, but generally from S.E. On the 21st Jfovember, in lat. 32 S., and long. 20 deg. W., fell in with north-west winds, veering sometimes to the north-eastward, aud again to the westward. Passed the meridian of the Cape of Good Hope on tho Ist December, in lat. 40 deg. 8.; between that and tho meridian of Cape Lewin (passed on 20th December), fresh winds from the westward, veering between N.W. and S.W., were experienced. Passed the meridian •f Boutb. Cape Tasmania on Ist January, 187(5. Very light winds from between N.E. and S.E. were experienced trom thence to Cook Strait. Passed the lighthouse on Farewell Spit at 7 p.m. on 11th January, and anchored in Wellington harbor at midnight, after a passage of 104 days from the Downs. The voyage throughout has been marked by a succession of light winds. She brings no Government immigrants. The passengers, who have all arrived iv good health, there being no sickness on the voyage, speak iv high terms of Captain Davies and - officers. The Pleiades brings a large cargo, 2 valuable bulls, and 20 sheep. Mr. E. Poarce, agent.
