Napier Militia— Walter Edward Russell to be Ensign Tarenaki Militia— Charles Wilson Hursthouse to be Ensign. Nelson Militia— Captain Nathaniel George Morse to be Major ; Major Nathaniel George Morse to command the Militia and Volunteers in the province of Nelson. Otago Militia- John James Atkinsan, Ad jutaut of Volunteers, to be Captain and Adjutant. Canterbury Militia— Charles Cecil Rookes to be Captain and Adjutant of Militia and Volunteers.
