Lakeside

COMFOBTS FOR. SOLDIERS

A social held oil Saturday night by the Lakeside Women's Institute to raise funds for the provision of comforts for soldiers attracted a very good attendance and the financial result was quite satisfactory. At cards the successful players were Mesdames Whisker and Schnelle, Messrs L. Hantz and W. Hurford. Music for dancing was supplied by Mrs R. Lambie, Mr 0. Boon was M.C., and the winners of a Monte Carlo were Mrs Amyes and Mr McMeekan. Prizes were donated by Mesdames H. R. McLaughlin, F. Chambers and G. Nairn and Miss Graham, and other donations were received from Mesdames J. Lambie and Hantz, sen. The winner of a competition was Mr L. Legg.
