Dunsandel

THE WOMEN'S DIVISION

The monthly meeting of the Dunsandel Women's Division was held in the hall, Mrs Gilbert presiding over a good attendance. One new member was elected. It was agreed to send a gift of fruit to Burnham Camp each month.

Misses N. Wright and Ella Chamberlain gave talks on their visit to exhibition, which proved very interesting.

Mrs Buckenham gave an instructive address on home nursing.

A debate agreed upon for next month was: "Should husbands help in the house?"

Competition results were: Large bloom, Mrs Robertson 1, Mrs J. Scott 2, Miss M. Skinner 3; small bloom, Mrs Happer 1, Mrs Robertson 2, Mrs H. Riches 3; seed cake, Miss B. Mackie 1, Mrs C. Wright 2, Mrs Chamberlain 3; hemstitched serviette, Miss N. Wright 1, Miss C. Aldridge 2.

BOWLING

While the Leeston bowling green was in use on the last two Saturdays for Ellesmere Association representative matches, surplus players from the Leeston Club visited Dunsandel for friendly games with members of the latter club who were 'not in the representative fixtures. Last Saturday's scores were as follows (Dunsandel players mentioned first):

Dunsandel 90 points, Leeston 122.

The previous Saturday's match resulted in a win for Dunsandel by 75 points to 72.
