Heracles, "grand old lady" of the Imperial Airways London-Paris service has been withdrawn from service. Heracles made her first flight in September, 1931, and since then she has flown 1,250,000 miles, carrying more than 100,000 passengers. She, has never been involved in any serious accident, nor have any of her passengers or crew ever been injured.
