ELLESMERE COUNTY COUNCIL DOG REGISTRATION, 1939. pUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN (amending notice given in this paper during December, 1938, and January, 1939, re dog tax collection), that all dogs not yet registered for 1939 should now be registered only at the County Office . Leeston, where collars are obtainable. After 31/3/39 there will no longer be a travelling dog tax collector. Registration should be made forthwith and warning is given that the responsibility to register rests with owners of dogs. Owner 3of dogs which are over six months old and which are not registered for a period of 14 days from January 1 each year, or for 14 days on attaining the age i of six months, are liable to a fine ■ not exceeding £5 for each dog not . registered. The Registration Fees are 2/6 for dogs kept solely for driving sheep or cattle (up to three per owner) and t 10/- for all other dogs.
