Springston

At a euchre and dance social held by the Women's Institute the successful card players were Mesdames H. Hoskin and P. J. Riordan and Messrs T. Memory and R. Everest. Other awards went to Miss R. Stace and Mr W. Tyson. A Monte Carlo dance was won by Miss J. Ridden and Mr A. Leslie. Dance music was supplied by Mrs and Miss Riordan.

The Methodist Church was tastefully decorated with flowers, fruit, and vegetables for the harvest thanksgiving on Sunday, the preachers being Mr A. Dingwall and the Rev. H. Cottom. There was special singing by the junior choir and Mrs J. W. Marshall was organist. Last night a sale of produce was vgry satisfactory.
