WOMEN'S DIVISION
The monthly meeting of the Dunsandel branch of the Women's Division was presided over by Mrs Gilbert in the absence of Mrs Buckenham and there was a large attendance. Mrs Gilbert read a report on the provincial executive meeting held in February. A social committee was elected to arrange a programme forj a social to be he,ld on May 30. Rev. Allan Watson, of Christchurch, gave a talk on the Coronation. Competition results were:—Cake made from recipe given by Mrs J. Walker: Miss M. Allen 1, Mrs Chamberlain 2, Mrs P. Stephens 3. Afternoon tea serviette: Miss Mercer 1, Miss Wright 2. Large blooms: Mrs Upston 1, Mrs Robertson 2, . Mrs Chamberlain 3. Small blooms: Mrs H. Riches 1, Mrs Skinner 2, Mrs Wright 3. ST THOMAS'S GUILD The annual meeting of St. Thomas's Ladies' Guild was held when Mrs N. J. Brown, retiring president, entertained the members at her residence. The annual report stated that eggs, groceries, jam, and Christmas gifts had been donated to St. Saviour's Girls' Home, and a child in the home had been clothed. The bal-ance-sheet showed a credit of £1/11/1. Officers elected were Mrs C. A. Wright, president; Mrs Wm. Gardiner, vice-president; and Mrs D. McLaughlin, secretary. Competitions were won by Mr» D. McLaughlin and Mrs Dolan. Mrs Wright thanked Mrs Brown for her hospitality, and a delicious afternoon tea concluded the meeting. PLUNKET SOCIETY The monthly meeting was held, Mrs R. Barnett presiding. Others present were Me3dames H. W. Johnson, E. G. Wright, J. Allan, J. Macpherson, W. Restall, P. Y. Bell, W. N. Walker, and W. Sheat. It was decided to hold the annual meeting on Tuesday, May 23. Nurse Home is to be invited to attend to interview mothers. After the business is completed a social hour will be spent. The nurse's report for January was as follows:—Visits to rooms: Adults, 9; babies, 9; 8 visits to homes.
