THE LATE MR GEORGE SCHROEDER.

Mr George Schroeder, whose death occurred a few days ago, was the only ! son of Mr and Mrs August Schroeder, and was born at Greenpark in 1904. He received his education at the Greenpark School, also at the Lincoln | High School. He was a man of sterjling character and was greatly respected in the district. In his younger days he was keenly interested in cycling and had won a silver cup and several other trophies in road races and on the cycling track. He was always a willing helper for anything that was for the good of the district. Since leaving school, he had been working on his father's farm, of which he had charge. His sudden death came as a great shock to his friends, and the esteem in which he was held was shown by the large attendance at the funeral, which took place in the Springston Public Cemetery. A service was held at St. Mark's Church, of which he was a member. The service at the church was conducted by the Rev. A. H. Acheson, and that at the graveside by Mr Acheson and Mr Jas. Willans, past arch of the Star of Anglesea Lodge, U.A.0.D., Lincoln. The bearers v/ere brother lodge members (Messrs C. Bennett, Stanley Bennett, Chas. Brown and W. McVicker).
