GALE IN ENGLAND

London, March 25. A storm destroyed a hippodrome m Earlaooort. Several persons- were kiljed by falling chimneys, and many roads m tbe Midland Counties have been blocked by the fallen timber. The gale unroofed warehouses, and otherwise caused consider able damage m Southern England. Six vessels were wrecked, but m the ma jority of cases the crews reached the shortin safety.
