' Tuesday — On the motion of Sir John ' HaU, the Kobinson Estate Irust Bill was read a second time — In reply to questions Ministers said : — the Minister lor Education would consider the advisibility of giving any information to the Education Boards that they did net now fossess with regard to theencourage ment of the kindergarten system m some of the schools of the colony ; the Government was waiting for experts opinion on the condition of the Brunnerton coal mines, before taking any action m the matter ; a Bill for tbe objeot ot amending the Public Trust Office Act, so that the Public Srustee could pay the rightful owner any small sum of money standing to his credit without any order of the Supreme Court being first obtained, had been drafted and would be brought down m a few days ; the Government had already telegraphed to Harold Thompson of New Plymouth, to the effect that he would be rewarded for capturing the New Plymouth highwayman ; the engagement with Dr Macgiegor, Inspector oE Lunatic Asylums, terminated on December 12th next — The names of Sir Robert Stout and Captain Russell were added to the Native Affairs Commitree — The "West Coast Settlements Bill and Native Trusts Bill were referred to the Native Affairs Committee — The Cheviot County Bill was read a third time and passed — The Northern Counties Vehicle Licensing Bill was read a second time — The Telegraph Cable Protection Bill was read a second time — The House went into Committeo on the Ward Conservation of Rights .Bill, and it was read a third jtime and passed — The debate on the I imprisonment for debt abolition Bill was resumed, and the lawyers m tbe House strongly objected to the n_3asure, and the second reading waa carried by 27 to 23 —The Electoral Bill wa3 further considered, and progress reported, after which the House -djourn.d. Wednesday — In reply to questions Ministers said : — The Dairy Industry A.cfc was giving preUy general satisfaction ; nothing would be done towards making a grant to ihe Dunedin Hospital Trustees, until the Estiimtis were brought rown ; Mr Williams was appointed In'<rprs-er to the Natives by Sir Harry Atkinson, and had been paid a iar.-e sum of money m connection with land purchases from the Natives ; a positive order for Martini Henry rifl.-s had been sent Home m March 1892, but they had not yet arrived — Mr Fish moved for a return of all money expenses incurred by the Government m the Cooperative works, and after a lengthy discussion the motion was agreed to — The names of Mr Camcross, and Mr J. Mills were chied to the Industries and Manufacturies Committee, and Labour Bills respectively — Mr Taylor moved that steps be taken to forma State Bank for the colony — A lengthy debute on the Licensing Act Amendment Bill followed, and the second reading was agreed to,
