Mr Fincham interviewed the Board, re work done hy him, anil again a«king for assistance. Decided to adhere to former decision iv this matter. Mr (Jollett interviewed the Board, presenting a petition containing 19 signatures praying for the formation of a footpath from Doyleston Store, to Railway up the drain road. The o«er•eer was inst) net od to inspect and report at next meeting. Mr Body, re division of por ion of Boggy Creek. The request was com plied with, if adjoining property owners sign the agreement. MrH. O'Beilly re drains being blocked by reserve, m Loe's extention, and other properties adjoining. The overseer was instructed to writ*; to owneis to at once remove obstructions. I The balance sheet of Selwyn County Council was received. The Board was of opinion that each member should bo supplied with a copy. The Selwyn County Council wrote re unemployed difficulty and offering pound for ponnd towards releiving Christchurch unemployed by providing work. The Board decided that they have now too many good workmen unemployed m their own dietrct and they cannot comply with thc request. A circular memorandum was received from Government re landfor pnblic works. TENDEUS. The following tenders were t ccepted, for shingling road from Gilbert's corner to Washbourne's. — F. Woods at la 31 per yard. Shingling from Cemetery to Bishop's corner. — H. Montgomery at ls 4d per yard. Reforming side road from Irwell to school. — T. Winter at 2s 9d per chain. REPORTS. The overseers report was read and considered. With reference to bridge overßealey's Creek. The Board regrets its fnnds will not allow the proposal to be entertained, but hay« no objection to the interested patties constructing a bridge at their own risk. PAYMENTS. The pay sheet amounting to £265 4. 8d -was paeged for payment and the Board adjourned.
