- REILLY'S report During the week a good demand has been experienced for most lines coming forward. Apples Small supplies of apples are dill being distributed. Regular supplies of New Zealand lemons.are available and meeting with satisfactory sales. A small shipment of Bananas came to band, the fruit being in good order. There has been a fair demand fo vegetables. Carrots are .in demand. Poultry—Fair supplies continue to arrive and prices are satisfactory for good'table birds. Eggs—Heavier supplies have bees received during the week. Sales during the week were— Mutton Birds —18s a dozen. Bee sack Cauliflowers —• firsts to 12a, seconds 5s to 6a. Cocoanuts 35s Od. Cabbage— 6s Od to 7s 6d Ber Cwt Potatoes to 12s onions 29s od, Carrots 13s, Swedes 9s Parsnips 15s to 24s Per dozen Eggs —heavy Is 8d doz, standard is 6sa, medium Is &d, pullets Is 3d Lettuce choice ... 2s 6d to 4s Od others Is to 2s Od; hothouse cucumbers 4s Od to 6s Od; Per case Apples Delicious 13s 6d, Granny Smith 13s 6d, Stunners 13s 6d Australian lemons bushels 36s to 37s 6d, New Zealand lemons 18s 3d to 19s 6a, Australian oranges bushels to 37e; Bananas unobtainable.
