Ever hear of a “fag bag”? Paramount Pictures, in connection with the thrilling and spectacular Technicolour saga of the great outdoors. “The Forest Hangers has been helping the US- Forest Service and Girl Scouts of Ameiica publicise these small but psychologically powerful devices. A “fag bag” is a little sack made out of cloth salvaged from old sugar, salt or flour bags- Dyed red, it is given to visitors in America’s National Forests. The visitor puts his cigarettes and matches in the bag and every time he wants a smoke the bag’s red colour reminds him of the forest fire hazard.
