NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Otago Central Electric-Power Board proposes to take a POLL of i the Ratepayers of the area added to the Otago Central Electric-Power District under proclamation dated 11th. of July 1928. and appearing in i the New Zealand Gazette No- 5? the IQth. July 1928 at page 2225 thereof, upon a PROPOSAL TO I RAISE A SPECIAL LOAN OF | £21,000 under “The Local Bodies I Loans Act. 1926” which will be 1 taken on the 21st day of November ! 1928. I The proposal of the Board is to raise a special loan of £21,000 for the purposes following: (a) The sum of £IB,OOO for retic--1 Mating the area added to the Otago ! Central Electric-Power District I under proclamation dated 11th July ! 19-28- and appearing in the New Zealand Gazette No. 57 of the 19th July 1928 at page 2225 thereof, altering existing lines and providing offices. (b) The Sum of £3,000 for providing assistance to Consumers in the above mentioned area in connection with the supply of electrical current and the necessary appliances for that purpose. (c) The proposed security for such loan is an annual rate of 29/16 d. in the pound sterling on the Capital Value of the rateable property in the area added ! to the Otago Central Electric-Power District as described in the above mentioned GazetteThe said loan with interest thereon is proposed to bo repaid in manner following: — (a) The sum of £IB,OOO with interest thereon to be repaid by instalments over a term of 20 years. (b) The Sum of £3,000 with interest thereon to be repaid by instalments over a term of 10 years. It is proposed to pay out of the loan Moneys the cost of raising the Joan, but no portion of the interest or Sinking Fund is to be paid out of the said loan.
