Fatalities.

Mr Alex Maskill, who had his back broken as the result of a fall from a horse, died in the Duustan yesterday morning Alex, was a popular resident of Alexandra for many years, and bis sad end is greatly deplored. The funeral takes place termorrow. An inquest was bold at Dunedin concerning the death of Mabel French Muirhead, who fell from from an Otago Central train near the Poolbern Gorge Tunnel. Evidence showed that she was a single woman residing at Dunedin who had been spend ing a holiday at Alexandra- She had been receiving medical attention in Dunedin- The inquest was adjourned.
