Loudon Tam is a rich bay horse, rising 6 years old, short and compact, with fine flat bone, and stands 17 hands high. He was bred by Mr Robert Robson, of Green Lee, 'Lovell’s Flat, out of his prize mare Jessie, and gained the first prize at the Tokomairiro Agricultural Society’s Show in 1871 as a one-year old. J essie was hi ed in Tasmania, and imported by James Stewart, Esq., and she has gained several first and second prizes at Tokomairiro Shows, both as a ' brood and yeldsaare. Her sire was the imported horse Sir Colin Campbell, and as a Clydesdale mare she is second to none in Otago. Loudon Tam’s sire was the celebrated horse Marquis. A paddock will be provided Tree for mares from a distance. All care taken, but no responsibility. He is also favorably known in Lawrence and its surrounding districts, where ho travelled for the past two-seasons' As to his Pedigree comment is-unneces-sary, his stock comparing well with any in the-Province.
