Vessels in Port.

Quathlamba, barque Tomoana, s.s. Moura, s.s. Kahu, B.s.

The Union Co.'s s.s. Moura arrived at 2 o'clock this morning from northern ports, and wa? to leave at noon for Wellington. Mr Andrew Puflett, son of the Union Co.'s local manager, is now assistant purser on this vessel. The Union Co.'s s.s. Te Anau is due to-morrow forenoon from Wellington and southern ports, end leaves again at 5 p.m. for Gisborne and Auckland. The s.s. Kahu arrived at 11.30 a.m. yesterday from Wellington, and leaves this afternoon for coast and Wellington. The s.s. Fanny left at 10.30 p.m. yesterday for Gisborne. The s.s. Wekaarrived at 13.45 p.m. on Saturday, having succeeded in landing all her cargo at vVhangawehi. The lyser Co.'s s.s. Tomoana left Gjs- • borne at 1 o'clock this morning, and H arrived in the bay at 10 o'clock. As wiH be seen by a telegram on page two she had t6- leave Gisborne to undergo an inspection after bumping the ground at that port. Captain iJavidson, Lloyd's surveyor, went off in the Tangaroa this morning to make an inspection, taking the diver out with him. The Tomoana is landing her New York cargo to-rlay. The report from Wairoa this morning was " Bad bar and heavy sea," so the Tangaroa is still delayed here. The Union Co.'s s.s. Kotuku had not shown up from Auckland when our report left the Spit, but was expected this forenoon. ' Captain Mayoss is in command of the N.Z. Shipping Company's steamer .Australasian, which is the new name given to the Ruapehu.
