Missionaries Reported Safe. (Received July 23, 9.10 a.m.)

Sydney, This day

In reply to an enquiry for information as to Australian missionaries in China, Sir W. Lyne, Premier, has received a cable from the Governor of Hong Kong stating : “ Bishop Hoare informs me of the safety of all the Australian missions, including the Foochow missionaries.”

Melbourne, This day

The secretary of the Missionary Society has received a message from Foochow that all is quiet there and the missionaries have no apprehension of danger.
