CHINA AND THE CAPE
[Rebels Sent to Gaol.
(Received July 23,*8.50 a.m.) London, July 22
In anticipation of having to send reinforcements to China the Government are raising an additional ten thousand men in Cape Colony. An employe of the Cape Government, implicated in the rebellion, has been sentenced to five years’ imprisonment. Two others were sentenced to three wears’ each.
