Mhlbouunh, August 10. The second day's races of the Victorian Amateur Turf Club's winter meetiDg was held to-day. Geometry was the first horse to break the" line, but almost imme" diately Highborn rushed to the front, and the latter with Dart and Kuebsworth held a prominent position to the streight, where the favorite, who had been fenoing faultlesely moved up. Daimio had little diffioulty in cutting down the leaders and stalling off a fast run by Homsdal and finally won easily by two lengths, Geometry a length and a half behind the second horse. Highborn, Oampaspe, and Soiigetar-A&sre— the only others to finish, the remainder falling but fortnnately none of the jockeys were injured. Bolton pulled up lame. Time, Bmin 16seo, whioh is the reoord time for four miles.
