FOOTBALL.

At the annual meeting of tho Wellington Rugby Union last night Mr George i' isher, M.H.R., was elected president; Dr. Newman and Mr J. Duthie, M.H.R.'s, and Mcdsrs Bell and Gully, vice-presidents; Mr D. Skiuner, treasurer ; and Mr H. Hyains, Becretary. It was decided that in future the management committee shall consiet of one delegate from each senior club, and two delegates to represent the junior clubs. The questions of establishing a New Zealand Rugby Union and sending a New Zealand team t" Australia were deferred for a week. The whole of the correspondence relating to tho southern tour of local men last season will be laid before the meeting next week.
