BOROUGH OF NAPIERSTORAGE OF DANGEROUS GOODS. rpHE attention of Merchants, StoreJL keepers, and other, ia called to the following extracts from the By-laws, dealing with the Stoeaoe of Dangeeous Goods, and Notice is hereby given that the said By-laws will, on and "after the IstNovember next, be strictly enforced : — " Dangerous Goods." Interpretation. 235. The expression "Dangerous Goods " and " Specially Dangerous Goods " used in this Part shall, for the purposes of this Part, have the meanings assigned to them respectively in the First Schedule hereto. 236. No person • shall keep or store * Dangerous Goods," or " Specially Dangerous Goods," or gunpowder, in or on any premises situate within the Borough, without having first obtained a license under this Part, under the hand of the Town Clerk authorising him so to do, and then only to the extent and in the manner permitted by such license and this Part, and subject to the conditions of this Part. The expression "Dangerous Goods" shall include :—

" Petroleum," defined in section 2 of "The Dangerous Goods "Act, 1882," as meaning and including and for tho purposes of this Part, to be deemed to mean and include all rock oil, burmah oil, and product of them, and any oil made from petroleum, coal, schist shale, peat, or other bituminous substanae, and any product of them, which gives off an inflammable vapour at a temperature of less than llOdeg. of Fahrenheit's thermometer. Kerosene, and any other distillate or product of petroleum, notwithstanding that they do not give off an inflammable vapour at a temperature of less than 110 degrees Fahrenheit, brought under the said Act by Order in Council, 16th December, 18S2 (Gazette, page 1896). All other goods (not declared speoially ; dangerous) for the time being brought under " The Dangerous Goods Aot, 1882." It is hereby further notified for Public Information that the premises recently erected by Messrs Smith and Provis on tho iieolaimed Land, fronting Hardinge Road, Spit, have been duly licensed for the Stoeage of Danqeeous Goods, under the above By-laws.
