The annual meeting of the JST Z. Alliance commenced at 8.30 a.m.,to-day with breakfast at the V.M.C.A. rooms. There was a large attendance. The president presided, and speeches were jnaade oh temperance work by various' speakers. 'The Council met at '2 o'clock, when Mr Glover read the report, showing fair progress. He mentioned good work had been done by the second agent, the Bey. E. Walker. The showed a debit balance _of £16 8s lOd. Statistics were'quoted showing a decrease of crime and drunkenness of colonials.
