Owing to the strikes the Now South Wales coal mines are at a standstill, and fears aro entertained that tho trade, will be lost to tho colony. A prospect such as that is altogether too alarming, for the supply of coal to tho Australasian colonies is ft source of wealth worth preserving. The colonios in this part of tho world, although all producing coal, aro nearly entirely dependent on Now South Wales, as will bo seen from tho following returns: —•
