CRICKET.
At the Empire Hotel on Saturday night tho annual ineetinif of the Napier Cricket Club was huld, Mr Wol«tonholme in the chair. The report and balance-Hheet which were of i>. fatisfactory character were adopted. The following office-bearers were elected s_Prorident f Mr C. H. Edwards.; vice-presidents, Mohsm IS. Jacobs, (i. 11. Swan, T. Bidey, F. G. Smith, J. S. Gilherd, and Dr. Hitchings; general committee, Messrs <i. White, J. Martin, H. Mariin, and C. It. Smith; match committee, Mwsrs Whito, Smith, and Martin ; honorary secretary and treasurer, Mr J. Woletenholmo; assistant secretary, Mr T. Bear ; delegates to association, Messrs White and Wolatenholinu. The batting averages for last season wero headed by J. VVolstctiholrao, G. White, and 11. Martin, whilo J. Wolntonholme and C.li. Edwards headed tho bowling averages. The Napier and County Clubs tied for the cup, and when tho match is played off should Napier win the cup will become their property.
