The steamer Lawreno© was to have left Greymouth last night with ooal for the Napier gasworks.
Messrs Dalgety and Company (limited) havo reoeived the following London cable : —" Prices for wool firmer all round. As compared with last sales* closing rates, prices are four to six per cent, higher."
Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co., hare received a cablegram from their London house, Messrs Sanderson, Murray and Co., dated 20th inst., as follows:—" Wool market continues firm, and there it a slight advance for good combing merino."
Mr Beattie, advance afrent for Wirth's Wild West Show, received a telegram from Auckland to-day stating that Wirths opened in Auckland !a*,t evening to the largest audience ever sei m under canvas in the colonies, the five-pob s tent of the company being unable to ace ommodate all thoso who desired to witness > tho performance. The Wild West Show wi 11 bo in Napier for two days only, comma ncing on the 6th October.
