(Received September 23, 10 a.m.) GERMANY AND AUSTRIA. London, September 22. The Emperor William of Germany, iv the presence of the Austrian army in Silesia, assured the Emperor Francis that existing treaties would be contiuued. The Emperor of Austria replied that he was convinced that the alliance between the two nations would never be shaken. ARREST OF PUGILISTS. A great sensation has been caused by the arrest of both Slavin and McAuliff, by which their fight was prevented. Later. The pugilists, Slavin and McAuliff have been bailed out for £2000. It appears that the fight was to havo come off to-morrow at the Pelican Club, but if there is any attempt to bring off the fight tho police will surround the Club. ELECTION RIOTS. There have been some election riots at Goa, the Portuguese dependency in India, during which seventeen persons wero shot and many wounded. BORN IN THE GRAVE. Owing to certain suspicious circumstances in connection with the burial of a woman in Szegedin, iv Hungary, tho body was exhumed, when it was discovered that the deceased had given birth to a child after her interment.
