PORT OF NAPIER.
ARRIVALS. August. 18—Te Kapu, s.s., from Wairoa. Smith and Provis, agents. 19—Orowaiti, s.s., from Westport. R. Puflett, agent.
Tho Union Company's collier Orowaiti arrived from Westport'at 1 p.m. to-day. She brings a cargo of coals for Messrs Barry Bros, aud will return to Wettport tomorrow night. The s.s. Te Kapu arrived from Wairoa last night. Sho leaves again at midnight on Thursday.
The s.s. ".Fairy leaves for Gisborno tomorrow evening-. Tho s.s. Ahuriri is loadinir for tbe coast.
The steamer Dnko of Westminster arrived at Lyttelton at 4.15 p.m. yesterday from London via Hobart.
The s.s. Elderslio arrived at Port Ch-i Imers to-day at 5 a.m. from Oamaru «>t route for London.
The following aro tbe names of the crew who'left Wellington in the barque Kentish Lass (now fifty-six days out from Hokianga to Sydney) when she sailed from Hokianga : —J. Johnson, master; V. F. Pearson, mate; E. Muirhead, boatswain; A. Sliss, cook and steward; J. Schuthe, J. ~W r . Foster, A. Grant, William Newman, William Mackay, and W. Stewart, seamen. It is utilitrely that any changes were made during her stay in Hokianga. The vessel is insured for £1600, but her owners. iaessrs fctewart and Co., sawmiilers, Corteuav Place, Wellington, value her at £2400 ' xT . The following sailing vessels from Napier are now on their way to London :—Opawa (Hauion), S3 days out; Lady Jouelyu (Watt), 44.
MOVEMENTS OF UNION COMPANY'S STEAMERS.
Tho Southern Cross arrives from Weiliu.'ion to-morroi afternoon, and. leaves forthe north on Thursday. Tbe collier Orowaiti leaves for Yv estport direct to-morrow. The Rosamond arrives from ellington to-morrow with transhipments ex Bhundarra, after discbarge of which she will load potatoes for Brisbane, for which port she will leave about Friday, calling at Wellington for coals. The Australia arrives from northern ports on Friday morning and leaves for Wellington in the afternoon. The Mararoa is due from Melbourne via poiitberu porta about 11 a.m. on Friday.
