It is the intention of Mr. Nairn and family to go to Euglaud and remain some years, and it is understood that Mr. Busby has taken a lease of tbe Pourerere estate in the meantime. The ladies' committee of tbo forthcoming fancy fair are very busy preparing work, and are still receiving aid from various quarters, outside as well as within tho district. Mrs. Sebley has constructed a "Zootrope, or Wheel of Life," as one of the novelties, and thero are several other features in preparation that are new to these parts. The lambing season is progressing very satisfactorily, thanks to the fine mild weather that has prevailed lately. The Rev. Mr Beccroft bus promised to •srive his lecture on " Life iv East London " Sn 29th instant, in aid of the fund-, of the Mfltttodist Free Church. Considerable interest was excited on Sunday morning by tho sight of a fourroomed bouse, washhouse, fencing, tank, &c, travelling by rail from Waipukurau to Hastings. Of course, the house was cut in halves, and the train had to pull up on arriving at tho bridge, across which it crawled very slowly, as there was no room to spare.
