Messrs F. W. Williams and Kettla received by tho San Franeineo mail on Tuesday the following report from their London agent dated the 14th of Juno:—Since my last advices of the 17th of May, our market has again become flat and stagnant, and tho blight improvement referred to at that date has fiueo been lost, and to effect sales prices of medium and fair sorts, during tho past three weeks, have generally rather favored buyers. Consequent on the Whitsum holidays the quantities brought to auction have been moderate, comprising , in all only about 1>259 bales. Of these about 1900 bales have been placed, common to £1S to £l.S5s; middling, £1S 10s to £18 15b ; fair £19 to £19 . r ;s ; good fair to good £20 to £22. Of iine there has been but little exposed at auction, holders of this description still hold aloof from thu market. The arrivals of New Zealand hemp since the 18th ult. have been very heavy and much in excess of previous months, comprising tho following :—Forfarahire, Tanuiaki, Raknia, (Jity of Delhi, Dimtrune. Mairißhan, Scottish Hero Q.ueen Mab, Wuimea, Canterbury, Doric, !>alado, and Winifred with a total of 16,07.0 bales As the whole of these arrivals have taken place between the sthand llthintt.noparthasyet been brought to auction aud with such largo supplies hanging over our market prices this week wero very dull and depressed at. a dcclino of 10s on medium, and 10a to los on good. Including the heavy arrivals referred to above, our spot stocks (calculating these arrivals at 3cwt each bale) show an available present supply of 3117 tons. Tho deliveries ex warehouse of 5-12 tons for the past month show but little change as compared with previous ones, but are not such as to induce any speculation in the article, even at present prices. Thu out-look for holders of New Zealand is therefore disappointing , , and the condition of our Manila and sisal hemp markets give but littlo hope of improved prices in the near future. It is hoped, however, that tho advices of tho stoppage ol so many mills may ultimately help holders, but whilst arrivals continue on anything like tliß present scale buyers are chary in believ' »g tho truth of the recent reports as to fut ru small supplies. During the month ended tho 31st Ma)- there wero landed 1-I'Jl tout), aud the deliveries were 512 tons, leaving a iock of 2573 tons. Our market today closes quiet, common £18 ; middling £18 10sto£l.S 15s; fair £l'j to £19 ss; good fair to good £19 10s to £21 10s.
