BRITISH EAST AFRICA COMPANY London, July 23. The annual report of the British East Africa Company shows the affairs of the company to be steadily advancing on the path of prosperity. Reference is made to the Anglo-German agreement which precludes the possibility of a recurrence of future friction between the British and Germans. The report announces that a schomo for the construction of a railway to connect Lako Albert Nyanza with the coast will shortly be submitted. RIFLE MATCH. Public excitement is less acute, and affairs are quieter. CENTRAL AMERICA. Guatemala is desirous that San Salvador should join tho Union Central Republic. WESTERN AUSTRALIA. It is expected that tho Constitution for Weetoru Australia will be proclaimed and the first general elections be held towards the end of October, and Parliament moet at the oiul of Novembor, It is predicted that Mr Parker will bo the first Premier. THE GRENADIERS.
A petition is about to bo presented to tho Commander-in-Chief praying for the commutation of the sentences passed on the mutinous Grenadiers.
