London, July 22. Again there were 18,000 people at Lord's to-day to -witness the cricket match Australia v. England. The weather was fine, and the wicket improved. Ulyott was batting two and a-half hours, and never gave a chance. The fielding of the visitors was excellent. In England's first innings Turner took one wicket for 53, Ferris two for 65, Trott none for 16, Trmuble one for 17, and Lyons five ... • for 31. In their second innings the Australians have lost nine wickets for 168. The following are tho scores:— Lyons, b Barnes 33 Turner, Ibw, b Peel .... .. 2 Murdoch, b Lohmann .. .... 19 Gregory, c Lohrnaun, b Barnes ~ 9 Charlton, lbw, b Grace 2 Bhokham, c Barnes, b Grace .. .. 10 Trott .. 0 Ferris, lbw, bLohmann.. .. ... 8 Trumble, c Barnes, b Lohmann ~ 6 Barrett, not out ~ .. .. ..63 Burn, not out .. .. •• ... 15 Extras 2 Total for 9 wickets .. .. 168 . * Barrett was at the wickets four hours, and made his runs by perfect cricket. Burn played a plucky innings. Lyons knocked up his score in 23 minutes. The fielding of the Englishmen was again very fine. Later. Lyons bowled brilliantly in tho first innings of England, and Blackham behind the wickets was greatly admired.
