The steamer Richmond, from the Islands, reports a great fire at Mikuolofa. Tonga, early on tho morning of tho 16th inst., when the Government bonded stores and armory, Giles's store, C. K. Walker's besides other buildings, were burnt to tho ground. Besides a large quantity of of gunpowder and dynamite tho armory contained three heavy guns belonging to tho Tongan Permanent Artillery, and the bonded stores also contaiued a large amount of kerosene and other goods belonging to the various storekeepers of Mikuulofa Absolutely everything was lost iv the flames.
By the s.s. Richmond thero arrived tho future King of Tonga in the person of Prince Georgo Taufu Ahau, who is to remain for the purpose of attending tho High Sohool. Prince George is about sixteen years of age, and now holds in acC3rdance with tho Tongiu Constitution the position of tho late Prince Le Foui, as heir apparent to the Tongan throne. Forty Raratongan singers and dancers also come by the same steamer.
Arrived— Arawata from Fiji. Among tho passengers were Sir J. Thurston (Governor of Fiji and High Commissioner of the Western Pacific), his privato secretary, Lady Thurston, and family.
