News has come to hand that the Mahdi is making extensive arrangements for the renewal of hostilities with Egypt He is largely reinforcing Dongolo, while the Dervishes are continuing their raids in Abyssinia, and now hold the whole of the provinces evacuated by Ernin Bey. DYNAMITE AND MURDER. A formidable infernal machine has been found iv the houso of a tenant on the Clunricarde estate. The tenant was about to Ik) evicted. THE ANTWERP EXPLOSION. Corvilian. the proprietor of the explosive factory at Antwerp, the explosion of which recently caused such terrible loss of life and property iv that city, has been sentenced to four years' imprisonment. RESPITED. John W. Laurie, convicted of tho murder of Mr Rosa in July last, has been respited. Laurie und Mr Rose amended the Goatfell muuntaiu, near Brodick, Scotland, together, and Mr Rose was never seen alive again.
