Watercress, Lullaby, and Moraine wero first away ; Pygmalion hung a little behind Moraine at the quarter mile, but at the distance Pygmalion came fast, but was beaten after a good race by three parts of a length by Moraine, Sincerity a length away third, Lady Mabel fourth. Stoad's b f Roso Argent, Set lOlb (Derrett) 3 Mr Hereford's Cypriote and Mr Atkinson's Charming also ran. Rose Argent, Cypriote, and Cynisca got the best of the start. At Cntts's Alsace ran into first plnce, Rose Argent, Cypriote, Cynisca, and Charming in that order. At Ford's Rose Argent led for a moment, but collapsed and retired, leaving Alsace stilt in front. Cynisca came very, strong, and won by lialf-a-length, the rider sitting still. Alsace was ridden out, and Rose Argent was four lengths away third ; Charming waa last. Time, 2min. 44jsec. Cntts's b m Dadu, Ost (Matthews) 3 Soota Grey jumped away in front, Tirailleur second, and Dudu third, and ran two lengths apart until ft mile and throof[uartera had boon covered ; Tirailleur then moved up, and half-a-mile from home Scots Grey was under tho whip.
