SPORTING.
Owing to the unavoidable absence of Mr Danvi.Ts, the'secretary of the Trotting Club, the committee have not yet met to draw up a programme. On the return of Mr Dan vers a programme for the next meeting will be at once issued.
Cricketors *vill bo glad to learn that a new club is to bo organised to take the place of the defunct Rovers. The members of tho Banks and Law profession will meet tonight at tho Masonio Hotel, at 8 p.m., to consider the formation of a club. As there are some good players amongst tho ." profs.," no doubt a strong club will bo organised, and it is to bo hoped tho bankers and lawyers will turn up to-night in full force.
