Tbo New Zealand Times makes the following reference to " Laundrino," % now make of soap introduced to the trade by Messrs M'Leod Bros.. Limited, of Duuedin :— "This soap is turned out in excellent condition, and a trial made yesterday shows that whilo it is extremely economical by reason of its firmness, it lutliure freoly. There is an absence of uu excess of alkali, frequently found in cheap soaps. It is delicately perfumed, and for laundry and general household purposes this is a great advantage, as it removes that disagreeable 6oapy emell so Tery objectionable when common soaps are used. Laundrine appears to be & thoroughly good soap. It possesses in proper proportions those necessary ingredients which constitute a first-clatw article. It should meet with a ready sale, for as the market is flooded with cheap soaps, it is an advantage for householders to know of a good brand upon which they can placa reliance. The company also send us snmplen of their candles of various makes. In appearauco and burning power they aro equal to any imported ones. Their bedroom candles, with fluted ends to fit any sized candlestick, are remarkably well finished. And aro made of first-class material, indicated by an absence of smell when the candlo is extinguished. The company ulso make a good class of toilot soap. Wo can apeak from experience cf the excellence of their old Brown Windsor; it is a matured soap, lathering freoly, and free from any objectionable harahness. Among other opeoiatticH are korosono and borax sonp, tho latter being an excellent soup for whitening tho hands and for washing the hair. They »lso put up culinary essences of a reliable quality. J heir essence of lemon they guarantee absolutely pure; it has a good appearance, and its flavor is that of the Messima lemon.
