♦ Mail* Close. For Wellington, per b.s. Southern Cross, on Friday. For Wellington, southern ports, and Hobart, per s.s. Wairarapa, on Saturday, at 1 p.m. For Gisborne, Auckland, and Auatralian colonies, per s.s. Tarawera, on Saturday, at 4 pm. Tho s.s. Coptic will leave Wellington for London on Thursday, 19th inst. Mails for the United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, Sec, will close on Wednesday, 18th inst., at 6 a.m. Money orders will closo at 4 p.m., and registered letters at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, 17th inst. Parcels for parcels post will close on Monday, 16th inst, at 5 p.m. This mail will be due in Lsndon on 31st October. S. J. JAGO, Postmaster.
